2. General Information on Data Processing
This app ("Pinion") enables users to leave their assessment of a place through a simple vote (yes/no).
Technical and location-related data is processed for this purpose.
3. Data Collected
The following data may be processed when using the app:
- IP address (technically required for server requests)
- Geodata (latitude and longitude), if the user consents
- Time of interaction
- Answer (yes/no)
4. Purpose of Processing
The data is used exclusively to enable an aggregated display of location ratings in the form of a map (heatmap).
The purpose is to make the subjective perception of places visible.
5. Legal Basis
Processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in providing the core function of the application).
6. Storage and Anonymization
The collected data is not used to identify individual persons. Evaluation takes place exclusively in aggregated form.
IP addresses, if stored, are processed in shortened or anonymized form where possible.
7. Disclosure of Data
Personal data is not disclosed to third parties.
8. Location Permission
Location data is collected only after the user's explicit consent via the browser or device function.
The app can generally be used without location permission, but with limited functionality.
9. Retention Period
Data is stored only for as long as required for the purpose of displaying the heatmap.
10. User Rights
Users have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability in accordance with the GDPR.
Requests can be sent at any time to the contact address stated above.
